Weight Loss Rules Program to Always Follow

weight loss rules

Weight loss rules can be hard to follow whether you just want to get rid of those love handles or you want to lose some serious weight. Of course if you have the right tools and program to follow, that hardship doesn’t seem nearly as bad. Take a look at these 9 Nine rules for losing weight to help you on your quest.

Top 9 nine rules for losing weight to always follow

Rule #1: Never Forget to Eat Breakfast

protein breakfast

Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. Why you ask, well it jump starts your metabolism to get your body burning fat and calories throughout your day. Make sure that it is a healthy breakfast as well, cereal loaded with sugar isn’t going to helping you in any way to lose weight; instead consider things like fruit salad, an omelet loaded with vegetables, a fruit smoothie, etc.

Rule #2: Cut Down on the Fatty Snacks and Junk Food

For many people junk food and fatty snacks are one of the main culprits to gaining weight or stopping them from losing weight. By cutting down your intake of them (or better yet, completely eliminating them) your body isn’t ingesting excess fat and calories that it is unable to burn off by the end of the day. If you can’t completely eliminate it from your diet at least restrict it to once at the end of the week as a treat for doing good the rest of the week weight loss rules.

Rule #3: Eat Protein with Each Meal

Protein is a great way to not only fuel your body through the day, but it helps to make you feel fuller for longer periods of time. Make sure to pick the right kinds of protein however; protein from a Double Whopper isn’t going to do anything for your weight loss goals, but make it harder. Instead get your protein from sources like eggs, dairy, lean meats, poultry, fish, seafood, beans, nuts, etc.

Weight Loss Rules #4: Eat More Fruits and Veggies

Fruits and vegetables help to supply your body with all of the nutrients it needs to function properly, but it can also help to allow you to eat more without overdoing it on your calorie/fat restrictions for the day. Incorporate at least 3 fruits and vegetables with every meal and try to incorporate them in your snacks as well.

Rule #5: Drink More Water

Drink more water

Water has a wonderful effect on helping a person to lose weight because it can help you feel fuller, stopping you from grabbing that bag of chips as a snack or that bowl of ice cream late at night. Try to drink at least eight 8ox glasses of water each day if not more and you’ll be surprised at how much you can go through the day without feeling hungry weight loss rules.

Rule #6: Stop Eating Late at Night

Another diet wrecker is snacking late at night. It might be tempting to curb those late night cravings with a bag of chips or some leftovers however, eating late can wreck havoc on your metabolism. During the day when you are up and moving your food digests much faster and has time to process through while your body is still active. If you ingest food right before you sleep your body is more likely to store those calories as fat leading to more weight gain. So if you find yourself hungry right before bed or wake up hungry try eating something easily digestible like a banana or drink a glass of water.

Rule #7: Don’t Weigh Yourself Every Day rules to lose weight

Chances are you didn’t put all the weight on in one day so reasonably it won’t all disappear rapidly. Using a scale can be a good tool to track progress however checking daily can have an adverse mental effect if the numbers stop going down or stay steady. Just remember weight loss doesn’t always account to fat loss so you might be losing gat but gaining muscle which is great for your waistline but might not show up on the scale. So if you are using a scale keep it in the bathroom and pick one day a week to take your weight and jot it down, then forget it till next week.

Rule #8: Choose Smaller Portions weight loss rules

Diets don’t need to always be restricting. Some of your high calorie favorite foods can still be a part of your diet, but just in moderation. For example if you love pasta don’t cut it out entirely, just make a smaller scoop and fill the rest of your plate with your favorite steamed or sautéed veggies. Also reduce the size of your plate and utensils so you are less likely to fill the plate up and take smaller bites.

Rule #9: Find the Right Exercise Plan

No weight loss regimen is complete without the right fitness plan. This doesn’t mean that you need to join a CrossFit gym but it does mean you should get in at least the AHA reccomended 30 minutes a day 5 days a week of aerobic activity. Whether that means taking extra walks around the neighborhood or lifting weights and jogging on the treadmill that is completely up to you. However, make sure you keep a regular fitness routine to complement all of your hard work on your diet plan.

Follow these simple yet effective weight loss rules and you will be well on your way to a slimmer, heathier and happier body.
