Being in a relationship is always a constant balance of give and take as you each get more aware of who the other person is, what they want in life and, most of all, what they expect from it. When it comes to marriage the answers on whether the woman you are with is ready for you to ask her to marry you can sometimes be a little confusing as there isn’t a standard answer such as “at the 2 years mark, propose”. So, we’ve put together a list of 3 ways to tell if she’s ready for you to pop the question so that you are ready and willing when the time comes to take your relationship to the next level.
Women oftentimes don’t come out and say what they are thinking, they use subtle cues that you need to pay attention to and when your girlfriend is thinking about marriage she will often bring up the future as a way to express her wants and need you to pop the question. Is she asking where you see yourself in 5 years, if you want kids, your views on marriage? These can be a big sign about her desire to have you propose without saying outright that she is ready.
When it comes to subtle cues about marriage women will often go towards expressing how much they value your part in their life as a way to broach the subject of marriage and a life together. Is she telling you how much she loves you often? That’s a sign she wants you to pop the question Is she saying how much she appreciates you in her life, that she can’t see her life without you anymore? Comments like this are clear indicators that she is ready for a life commitment with you and is in it for the long haul.
Sometimes the clearest indicator that your girlfriend is thinking about you proposing is when she has a reaction to commercials that deal with engagements, proposals, etc. Has she commented on how the man in one of those jewelry commercials was really creative with his proposal or maybe how adorable/happy the couple looked together after the man had proposed? If she has, she is more than likely trying subtlety let you know that she’s been thinking about you doing the same thing and would be very receptive to a marriage proposal.
