Sexting, if you’ve been living under a rock for the last few years, is sex through text messaging and has quickly become a common way to have a little fun with a partner even if the person isn’t anywhere near you. Of course just like anything else when it comes to either dating or casual sex, there are certain things that you should and shouldn’t do if you want to get any results from your sexting efforts. In that effort, we’ve put together a few dos and don’ts of sexting for men that can help you turn your next sexting “session” into a successful one.
Do Test the Waters First
Just like sex in real life, you wouldn’t just immediately start off by going for the main event without first seeing if your partner is willing to have a little fun; the same applies to sexting as well. Test the waters and see if they are in the “mood” for sexting or not because if they are not, not only will you be wasting your time, but you could be damaging any relationship whether casual or otherwise in the process.
Don’t Forget to Give as Much as You Get
Being a selfish jerk by only ensuring that you get yours. Whether through sexting or live sex, there should be an equal amount of give and take so that both of you are able to get pleasure out of the experience. If you only worry about your needs you’ll be cheating not only your partner, but your future prospects for sexting in the future.
Do Remember that the Devil is in the Details
Because sexting relies on words rathet than touching, descriptive details and wordplay are your best assets to ensuring both of you are satisfied at the end. Be as descriptive as you can be, making sure to set the scene and describe what you would do, what you want her to do and everything in between.
Don’t be a Drunk Sexter
Just like with drunk dialing, sexting while drunk is not the smartest choice. From having difficultly stringing proper texts together to saying the wrong things in the heat of the moment, sexting whiel drunk is a big no-no for all involved.
Do Be Creative and Tease Your Partner
Sexting because it is limited to typed out words can get a little dull unless you use your brains and get a little creative. Thinking about ideas such as teasing pictures that incite the imagination rather than a full frontal in your face picture; doing so will help to not only get her in the mood, but elevate the excitement and foreplay before the main event.
Don’t Sext a Partner Before Having Live Sex
Sexting someone before you’ve have sex in real life can leave your girlfriend or prospective girlfriend with expectations or ideas about you that may not be met in real life. Oftentimes with sexting or even phone sex, people get a little bolder and more adventurous than they would be in real life, and when you finally have sex with a partner you could find yourself unable to live up to your sexting persona. So be sure to wait until you actually done the deed before attempting a late night sexting session.
