How is this possible?

In order to get an erection a man has two cylinders corpus cavernosum, that line the inside of the penis and fill with blood when excited. These cylinders are at risk for fracture. Because they are sponge like tubes they are not indestructible. They are, in fact, prone to breakage when moved abruptly or are slammed up against a hard object. How common are penis fractures?

The good news is that penis fractures or broken are extremely rare. There have only been about 1,100 reported cases over the past 12 years, of course that does not include the number of men who were two embarrassed to head out to the doctor when it happened. The most common way a penis is fractured is through aggressive sex. If your woman is on top and she is bouncing like a bucking bronco she may inadvertently jam your penis into her pubic bone. This can cause a fracture because of the force in combination with the not so soft bone. It may also happen by sleeping with an erect penis and rolling onto it causing a fracture. And there is always strenuous masturbation with one wrong hand motion.

But if you find yourself in a situation where your penis has went from man power to all pain in the power house, you need to see a doctor right away. No amount of ice and over-the-counter drugs will save your penis from becoming a statistic. Doctors have several methods of fixing your penis and can actually reverse most of the damage. Left untreated you will end up with a penis that doesn’t work and causes you performance issues at the very least.

Tips to avoid this painful situation

You can prevent penis fractures by being careful and aware of the movements going on with yours and your partner’s body during sex. Fortunately penises are made to withstand quite a bit of pressure but one wrong move and you could find yourself in the ER. Take precautions where you can and be conscious to how your body feels. If you are in pain during sex or at any point experience blood lose through your penis stop what you are doing and go to the doctor. Better to be safe than sorry. Don’t worry too much though, penis fractures are rare and unless you are into some hardcore stuff you won’t likely find yourself in this situation.
